FAQ
Aerial yoga is a hybrid form of yoga that combines yoga, pilates and aerial arts. At our studio we teach aerial asanas, aerial flow, core strengthening and aerial choreographies as you advance. Performing traditional yoga poses with a silk cloth will help to go deeper in yoga practice. You can expect to invert & some flips /tricks in our class. Each yoga class ends with a Shavasana(yes, Aerial yoga has a Shavasana too). Gain a euphoric experience of hanging on a hammock and simply swinging and relaxing.
Aerial Yoga is an emotion of love and happiness. The energy of Aerial yoga will equip you with lots of satisfaction and calmness and will take you to a level you never thought of. If you want to try Aerial Yoga, you must do it. It is truly worth your time and energy.
NO WAY! Aerial yoga is actually much easier than floor yoga, it just looks fancy. The hammock supports you whilst you build up strength. It also helps assist you in balancing poses.
No previous yoga experience is necessary to enjoy aerial yoga. In fact this form of yoga can be easier than normal yoga when used correctly. To explain this further, the hammock is responsible for taking half of your body weight. This allows many students to try more challenging poses such as inversions whilst they are building strength.
Yes and no, people who suffer the following conditions are not suitable to participate in an Aerial Yoga class. If you have had recent surgery, glaucoma, if you are pregnant, if you have unregulated high or low blood pressure, nurse a current injury or if you suffer a heart condition.
Aerial yoga helps with flexibility, core strength and upper body strength. It is a great way to reap the benefits of yogic inversion. That is because the aerial yoga asanas can help you with suspended inversion with simple locks. It feels good and works very well for the gut health, women’s womb health and over all blood circulation.
1st, The hammock material is made to hold 500kg. Each carabiners and daisy chain, 200kg. Our hammocks are very safe and are attached to the ceiling with a strong anchor holds & daisy loops. If you are less than 80 kgs, there is nothing to worry, come fly with us!
To really reap the full benefits and feel a dramatic change in your well being, it is recommended that they attend a minimum of three classes a week.
Students should remove all jewelry before participating to avoid snagging the fabric. A t-shirt must be worn to cover the armpit area to avoid excess sweating into the fabric and avoid the fabric rubbing on the skin.
It is advised to wear leggings at least 3/4 long to avoid rubbing behind the knees and allow for easy movement within the hammock. You need to wear form-fitted clothes for Aerial yoga. You can’t carry yourself in loose clothes or pajamas because they can easily get tangled, so you are at them. We also advise students to have clean feet.
We recommend first to participate in a few classes at the studio and understand the techniques of using the hammock safely. Initially, learning and practicing Aerial yoga need professional guidance and help. Practicing Aerial yoga at home gives you the ultimate freedom to create a perfect workout regime for yourself and your comfort zone.
